Tom Clancy's Without Remorse

I watched the Alien movie, covenant I think, anyway it's the one where Jussie Smollet gets skull fucked in the back of the head by the alien's mouth thing during a shower sex scene with some white chick with pathetic little tits.
Wait that was him?

I remember the scene but I couldn't tell you for the life of me who any of the actors were except for the android and Danny McBride. Damn, no wonder he had to fake a hate crime to get attention. He's just that forgettable.

That’s not Val Kilmer! That‘s ICEMAN dammit. Get your stuff straight.
You miss-spelled 'Doc Holiday'

Watched it. Was ok. Fairly Predictable. You know who the bad guy is right away. The acting was sub-par, but I was really around to see people get f'd up. Jordan running around like he was taking a dump while injured was kinda bad.

I really need to read the book--I kinda trailed off fiction back in the day--Red Storm Rising was beyond awesome (if a little dated now--but you know they would screw that one up SOOOO bad).

And John Clark will always be DaFoe and his shorty AR. Damn I wanted one of those so bad.

Yep, other than the fake noose hate crime maybe his best role portraying something the couldn't happen in a million years on any planet, ;)

Had to check IMDB, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. :ROFLMAO:

Hollyweird at it finest.

Not being the brightest knife in the shed, I discovered that since I have Amazon Prime I could watch Without Remorse free. Needless to say, I still skipped it.

This thread being said, check out Tenet on HBO. It’s how to do a proper action mind fuck movie. Has a black lead role and doesn’t once throw any of this SJ shit in your face. The movie kind of reminds me of inception.
Same director/writer

Did anyone else notice the guy in the background loosening the bolts on the collector?

Cut 'em some slack, they just completed army basic training and are excited.

Why should it matter if these guys are rump humpers? The sad thing is that between these four turd munchers they have as much skill and qualifications as 1/2 a regular crew and probably literally suck at their actual jobs. Eventually, they will kill or injure others because everything was important except skills and qualifications at flying.

The government recently ran a retarded CIA recruiting ad the other day where all of the "skills" the woman speaking had related to her deviant sexuality, race or twisted ideology. She rambles about how her career flourished because everyone at the CIA loved working with a woke deviant who had little or no skills at her actual job but worked there anyway.

This is the sad future of the US military. Units stuffed with non-deployable sexual deviants and homosexuals who have more interest in forcing their perversions on young men and women and little or no interest in protecting the United States of America from all enemies foreign and domestic. These deviants are fiercely interested in persecuting their fellow Americans, rounding them up for processing into gulags and concentration camps for forced indoctrination or executions if they do not embrace woke socialism.

We are fucked.

I’ve never heard of it . In fact, i don’t think i could name a single movie released in the last 2 or 3 years. You all have too much time on your hands and too much access to pop culture likely by way of social media, cable, satellite, etc which are all just poison you pay for in one way or another.

Turn all of that shit off and raise your families, build stuff, work on actual skills.
Listen BrassFuckStickMan, watching awesome movies IS a skill. Any fuckwit can be a good dad, build a house and learn to code, any.fuck.wit.

pfft...

Heat was released, in the movie theatres, in 1995. Well before social media bollox. So you're not just wrong, but you're a fucking hermit, who diss' social media, on a social media website. Just sayin'....

This makes me want to watch it just to see how bad it really is. Remember the movie "Comando" with Arnold in it? He personally offed 113 in that flem, without suffering so much as a flesh wound he could scoff off. One man, why do we need Seal Team 6? Delta Farce? And we wonder why our kids have a distorted view of reality...Oh wait a minute, I own that movie on DVD...forget what I just wrote.

The fuck are you talking about?!

He got a piece of shrapnel in his gut that he dug out in the tool shed before he started throwing saw blades and cutting off limbs with a machete then Bennett shot him in the shoulder and he had to knife fight him one handed!!!!

Classic American cinema you're describing incorrectly here. Your penance is to watch it again and do a shot every time three guys die in less than 5 seconds

The movie had about as much in common with the book as the Jason Bourne series. Basically, the title and the name of the main character. Jordan is not a good actor. I saw him and thought "nope, that's not John Clark" but gave it a chance anyway. Then, immediately the chick seal commander. I didn't serve, but was all "da fuq? Ok, I'm just watching this to get through my work out. I can make it." The actress playing Greer is about as charismatic as a petrified turd- which makes her a bit more relatable than Jordan. Regardless of his character, Jordan's on screen persona can be best described as 'petulant.' Yeah, it was hot garbage, but I didn't pay for it and I was doing something else during that time so no money or life lost. I'd have been pissed if I had paid to see it in a theater. Harrison Ford will always be Jack Ryan. James Earl Jones will always be Jim Greer. And, Willem Defoe will always be John Clark.

Without Remorse was Clancy's best novel. I tried Rainbow 6, but never got into it.

It was raining. I had nothing else to do.

It was not worth watching.

Retard level= Infinity.

Total garbage. Quit at the 3/4 mark.

Book was excellent... but the best of Clancy was still his early stuff. Red Storm Rising and Clear and Present Danger were two incredible books. He got too "Mack Bolan" later in his writing career. Some creepy stuff going on in his head! But it was still a great read.

They never made a Clancy movie even close to as good as one of his books. And that includes Red October.

I'm pretty sure there are almost no books - turned - movies that were all that great. Could be wrong.

Its probably because there is a certain flexibility mentally present in a book that can't really be worked into a movie.

Only two I can think of offhand were the two BBC miniseries... Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Smiley's People....

Both based on LeCarre novels.

I always struggled with LeCarre... his writing is stilted and long-winded. The BBC did an incredible job. IMHO, better than the books in some ways, because Alec Guinness and the actors brought it to life.

Also the original (not the Denzel Washington Remake) version of Man on Fire... with Scott Glenn. REALLY hard to find and I haven't seen it in, probably, 20 years. But it was a really good movie.

There are a few. This POS movie... ain't one of them!

Only one Movie that was better than the book. The original Planet of the Apes. The original storyline by Piere Boule that they followed in the remake of the movie wasn't nearly as good as the original movie with Charlton Heston. "You Maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you! God damn you all to hell!" Much better than the book....maybe not the only time this has happened but it's rare.

I read without remorse many years ago and it was outstanding i will not be looking at the movie.

Just like the hunt for red October. I had read the book several times before ever seeing the movie. Couldn't watch more than the first 30 minutes. Almost might as well be 2 separate stories.

Gotta agree on the Scott Glenn movie! Why does it never run? Went out and found the book years ago. Thanks for the reminder, I need to read that one again.

Very few movies based on books are worth watching, if you actually enjoyed the book.

I was most disappointed by American Assassin.

the part in the book where the yak pilot is talking about how special he is as he envisions buzzing the US fleet and then the crackle on the open air frequency with the pilots commentary was gold; brilliant writing and you felt like you were there reading it. Great book but after RSR, HFRO, and CPD, all downhill

They'll never do it. Can't have environmentalists be cast in a bad light...
My two fave Clancy books are Without Remorse and Rainbow Six though...
Could you imagine the flipped shit that would spawn from the wheelchair kid hostage scene at the theme park?

I really enjoyed reading R6.
