So a close friend of mine was able on a whim of sorts to acquire a Proof Research barrel for his AI. In the process of his load development today with 109 Berger's doing a seating depth test:

In no way should the data shown be considered safe in any rifle but the one these loads were fired in on this day.

No this was is all steel, a prefit for his AI A whatever it is...

Oh OK, I mentioned it because I know of at least six examples where the proof carbon Barrels did exactly this and had to go back
