They say the M40 went to a 6.5 x 47mm - ??

Did Lapua develop that round? Sounds like the same round all of the highpower shooters went to.

Could be the demise of the 308 eventually if other countries in NATO go with it...

No, That wasn't a M40; just a version that the manufacturer claims to be a M40. I believe Lapua did develop it.

I thought so, half of those rifles were expiremental and one persons' opinion differs from another.
