Gunsmithing Torque settings sticky??

Is there any chance on getting a sticky on all of the torque settings i.e. Scope rings, base, action bolts etc???

Ok this is what I have found so far. If anyone else knows what else to put on here lets do it.

Rings;
15 inch pounds per U.S. Optics
12 inch pounds per Badger Ordnace

Rings to base;
30 inch pounds per U.S. Optics
65 inch pounds per Badger Ordnace

Base to Receiver;
15 inch pounds per Badger Ordnace

Remington 700 action screws
65 inch pounds

Remington 700 action in a AICS stock
53 inch pounds

Savage Model 10 action screws
40 inch pounds

Seekins Rings Torque spec:
Cap screws 15-25 INCH lbs.
Clamp screws 55 INCH lbs.

15-25 inb/lbs sounds like a large spread. What would be the proper torque for a NF (30mm)scope?

Seekins 'says' 15 IN LB to cover themselves for thin-walled scopes. NF should be able to take a setting toward the higher end of that range.

Also, on REM700 base screws, some factory stocked (H&S) rifles like 50-60 IN LB better than 65. When you shoot groups at different base torques sometimes there is a difference in group size, if so, keep the torque that makes that rifle happy (assuming all other variables are constant).

That is why I like a good dial torque wrench over the wrench that has just one torque setting.

People should also take note most of the items listed are steel. The lighter stuff may not take that much torque without blowing the threads.
