Rifle Scopes torque value

in my rifle instruction the say torque the front and rear action screws to 7 NM
I know inche pound
foot pound but NM I don't know
help please

it stands for Newton Meters, whats the number that it gives you? Anyway to convert Newton meters to inch pounds you

Multiply the NM # times 8.8508= inch pounds
