Gunsmithing Torque wrench and other tools?

What tools do I need to properly mount a Mark 4, nightforce base,and badger rings on a LTR.

Feeler guages, a torque wrench and appropriate sockets and allen or torx bits.

Don't forget the shims needed to keep the rear of the base sitting level with the front. I use at least a .006" shim under right rear side on almost every Remington rifle.

12-15 inch pounds on the ring screws that hold the scope usually and on the 1/2 inch bolt that holds the rings to the base its 50-65 inch pounds i believe. you can also use levels, but the feelers will do that step too

Blue threadlock (locktite)
And clean the screws and holes to remove any oil before you torque.

If you don't have a torque wrench, I would suggest the borka tools wrench.
You check there site borkatools.com or pick one up from Brownells.

+1 on the borka. thats the next thing i buy. also look in the group buy area here in classifieds and you can get one there and they offer a nice kit as well. has a pouch and all the stuff you need as far as bits and drivers and such
