Gunsmithing Tough time with HS precision bottom metal

Hi all!

I installed my HS precision drop mag system into my PSS stock and its pretty tough dropping the mag. I really need to push on the button for the latch to open and drop the mag. Anything I can do to solve this problem?

I had the same issue with mine. I never got used to having difficulties pressing the stiff magazine release, so I upgraded to a McRees stock.

When I installed mine it came with several washers that I had to install between the stock and the florplate in a trial and error procedure till I found the correct position that enabled a proper release of the magazine and positive feeding I already installed that system on three rifles and after finding the correct washer arrangement it works very well and very reliable.

There is an area in the stock under the latch that will interfere with the operation of the stock. You need to remove this area with a Dremal so the latch will move freely.
