Looking for some advice on ring height for a SN3 TPAL 3.2-17. I'm using USO Rings and a USO one piece base on a Rem 700 S/A chambered in 6mm Norma with a HV Krieger. Barrel is 1.25 for 6 then straight taper to .900 at 31 inches. Obviously want to keep the scope as low as possible, but still have to clear the barrel. I just don't want to have to order 3 sets of rings, only to return two of them.
Can I get away with the Extra Low USO rings? Or with the barrel size can I even use the Low? Do I need Medium?
There have to be some USO guys that shoot with that or a similar barrel taper that can lead me in the right direction.
