Does anyone know the height of a TPS base? I am currently running a TPS base with TPS super-low rings (.820") on a Remington Varmint (Sendero) contour barrel. With the Super Sniper 16X42 scope and butler creeks, I have about 5mm clearance (guesstimate). I am wondering if I would need new rings if I switched to a 50mm objective. The outer Diameter of the new scope is 2.28" so:
2.28/2-.820=.32" of height needed on the base without incorporating butler creeks. My rifle is currently not accessible to measure so I was hoping someone knew the height of their TPS base.
If anyone knows that, or has a guess on whether I have enough clearance or not, please let me know. Thanks.
