I pulled the trigger on the TPS 20MOA base for my 300WM. was looking for a reasonable priced steel base with a recoil lug and it fit all my needs. Did some research and I wasn't able to find what the height is for it, didn't see it on there website and my Google-fu didn't pull up a number for me either. The sticky on measuring ring height gave me just about every other base height that i could find on the internet except the TPS unless i over looked it in my screen gazing. Ultimately i'm guessing its in the .4" range like most other bases.
So the rifle is Rem 700, varmint/sendero contour and ill be topping it with a SS 5x20 in Seekins rings. The rifle will have an adjustable cheek piece so ill have room to play with. Since i'm not exactly a little guy 6'6" 265lbs and have a face to match. i am thinking of going with the high (.97") rings possibly the medium/high (.92) rings and that will give me the availability to get a natural and comfortable cheek weld and keep me off the barrel enough so down the line when i re barrel to a larger contour I wont have any issues with clearance.
Man i must have really felt like typing, really all i need it the TPS base height lol. Cheers gentlemen
