I'm selling a barrel I bought off of padom that he tested in the thread below.

I was going to build a 455 with it but ended up going in a different direction. The only thing I've done is taken it out of the packaging.

As far as I understand mpa mounts a barrel and adjusts it to particular action. How hard would it be to do it yourself?

not 100% sure. according to padom, there is clearance for it to fit in other 455 actions besides his.

my plan was to call MPA and see if i could send them my action and the barrel and have them re-fit it or if all else failed, have a local smith custom fit it

i will check it out tonight when i get home from work and get back to you

Sorry life and work got crazy and I forgot to report back. It should be a straight drop in but as always check be sure and check head space with a go / no gauge.
