Looking at one since it’s got a free tax stamp right now. I’ve got primarily Dead Air suppressors at the moment since I love the Xeno brake.

Any reason not to buy one?

I have one, for a gas gun, its better than my nomad

light, quiet, and low back pressure, especially considering its not vented

only down side is you have to you plan b/cherry bomb stuff

The only real potential downside is that it’s not hub compatible. I standardized on the cherry bomb /Rearden/plan b interface. But the Q cherry bomb doesn’t have wrench flats. Getting one stuck in a suppressor is a hassle. It’s no big deal if you can spin off the hub adapter to access the front. You can’t with the Trash panda. That not withstanding, I don’t regret my Thunder Chicken purchase.

if you get a rearend or a rearden, they have wrench flats on the back side

not being hub does suck, but im sure it makes the can lighter

And thats it?
The Thunder Chicken is a longer can than the Trash panda. It should suppress somewhat better, at the expense of extra weight and length on the gun, as well as being somewhat higher back pressure. If your sole concern is dB rating, then the TC is “better.” But, adding a can to your gun is a trade off of several factors. The TP might be a “better” compromise of several factors.

What makes it better for sub than supersonic?

It's baffle design.

It was made with their Honey Badger in mind but can be used on other things as well.

Q is mostly known for their Subsonic stuff and it's what most of their stuff is designed around. Like 300 blk and 8.6 blk. While they will obviously work on other things still testing has shown they perform much better in the subsonic flow regime vs supersonic.

For example on Pewscience testing the Q thunder chicken is below average for it's size on .308, but on 300 blk the Full Nelson (direct thread thunder chicken) is at the top of the list.

Since you're shooting 6mm if you could find a OCL Hydrogen S 6.5 it would probably be very good for you. The Diligent defense Wolf hunter 6mm silencer would also likely be a great choice. Less versatile options than say a OCL infinity but would be excellent on that gun.
