while they would be considered well off in most other countries, many losers probably feel like they have nothing to lose, in particular, young people with useless college degrees and huge student loan debt.

by the way, my daughter just earned her masters degree, and we only owe about $5k left from her last term.

By useless you mean a degree in sociology, home-ec, psychology, human resources, gender studies, music history, art history, blah blah blah...at like harvard where you'll be charged 80K a year (min). I'll grant a few top sociologists and psychologists are needed, but until master's and Ph.D those degrees are worthless IMO.
