TRG 41 vs 42

I have found a TRG 41 in 338 lapua and wondering if anyone can give me a list of the differances. I know there is a barrel differance and the foreend is uncut like the 42 around the mag.

Are there any other big differances? Looks like the price will be right around $1500 with pelican case and bipod.

Would you buy it if it was in good shape with 329 rounds fired?

I have 21 and the only real difference between it and 22 is the mag/stock mag cutout. -41 may have some blued verses phosphated parts also, like the bolt handle. My assumption is the same for the 41 to 42.

Bolt, firing pin, trigger, should be common. Take a look at Brownells for parts info.

To be able to use the 42 mags (if you want extra mag or two), as you probably can't find any more 41 mags, you will have to mill/dremel off a bit of the stock so the "ears" on bottom outside of the mag will clear. 21/41 mag doesn't have the ears, but instead the bottom of the mag extends maybe 1/8" aft of the mag toward the triggerguard to allow you to grip it for extraction. Trying to remove a 21/41 mag with gloves on is hard, hence the stock/mag mod for later versions.
