trg 42 mount with side foucs scope?

I mounted a Vortex scope with side focus on my Sako mount for trg42 today and the QD lever wont clear the side focus knob, is there a method that will allow the lever to work? Apologies if this is a stupid question or I have over looked something simple. Searched and didnt see anything
