TRG muzzle brake any other besides factory?

I am looking for a muzzle brake for the Tikka T3 Tactical which takes the TRG 22/42 18x1 L thread. Are there any other muzzle brakes custom or not that someone is willing to thread to match? I am trying not to spend $200+ for a MB if there is something even more efficient that a gunsmith can thread to 18x1 etc? All inputs appreciated.

Their brake is also $200 which is not much of an improvement.

I dont know of any gunsmiths that have the tools for 18x1 L thread. Do you know of any?

This might sound crazy but it might be easier to turn your T3 down to 5/8 x 24 threads. You can do this without having to recrown. Then you can buy an off the shelf brake.

If you bought an unthreaded brake, a smith would have to set it up, dial it in, and cut internal metric threads. To cut the barrel, it is a set up and external standard threads, and most smiths with a good lathe shouldn't have to remove the barrel cause the T3 action will fit in the headstock.

Also you will be able to use a standard screw on suppressor later if you want,

Check out the Elite Iron "Max Tac" brake. I have them on both of my TRGs. It has to be timed but IMO its much more effective then the factory or the Near.

Same for the factory brake damn efficient, bite the bullet and get a Near or factory Sako and be done with it. Don't be re-threading barrels etc., foolishness.

Plus one to the EliteIron MaxTac. I have shot the factory Sako with a Near and MaxTac side by side and I give a slight edge to the Elite. The Elite also has a very low profile and is only slightly larger than the barrel diameter.
The Near is great also and both outperformed the factory Sako to a noticable degree.
I will post a review of the Roedale with a comparison to allof the above whenever it arrives.

I recently bought a brake from RWS who advertises brakes on the forum,...I think it was found in the Optics for sale section. I mailed the money order on December 2, and had the brake in hand exactly like I ordered on December 8.

Maybe he could make one with a 1x18 thread...it would be worth asking him. I also have a TRG, and just never thought to ask him about a brake. I think it cost me $40 delivered.

I sent RWS a barrel to be threaded 18x1 a month + ago. He informed me last week he misplaced his threading equipment so could not do and returning.
