I've got a 700 Police in 300 win mag. Will the large stock pack interfere with the long action? I currently run a TacOp's stock pack and it just barely clears. Took the TacOps off to build up the cheek weld on a 22 I've got and don't want to take it off, so I figured I'd buy a new one for the 700. What size stock packs do you guys run on similar guns?

I run the Triad large packs. It will interfere depending on how high you have it built up. It's not a big deal to slide back if need be, just 3 Velcro straps. I think the only difference in their Large and regular pack is the pocket size. Also the Triads build up with Velcro strips, so they stay put when you move them.

I'm assuming you can still work the action though. I'm not worried about removing the bolt, just working the action. Do you have the H+S stock on a long action as well?

I have an HS 025 on my 338 lapua, I cut the stock down to 13" LOP (Im short), and I run the Triad large. I have no problem cycling the bolt with 6 spacers in the stock pack. I can even finagle it enough to remove the bolt without removing the stock pack. You'll be fine.

On my long action Win m70, the bolt just barely touches the pack at full open, and I have to squish the pack down to remove the bolt. Not really a big deal.

If I remember correctly, the triad has an adjustable rear strap, so I believe you could shorten that and move the pack backwards just a hair if you needed more clearance.
