I am wanting to run 80gr A-maxs on a 223AI in a rem 700 bdl. They will be loaded around 2.500. Anyone have any tricks to make this feed with a factory bdl btm metal/box. I know the rear spacer will need to be replaced. Will the follower and or spring need to be modded? Thanks

Spooledup-

I run 80smk in my 223ai. I went with different routes to make it feed. I had more problems using the BDL configuration. It would feed, but not reliably. I then used a single shot follower. I did not want that though. I am now using the Accuracy International 223 magazines. This is the best option for me. 100% reliable feeding.

Generally, run the factory follower and spring. If you need a hunk of aluminum for the new spacer, PM me and I'll drop some in the mail for you. I have some left over from my 223ai mag box mod.
