I'm going to assume the issue is me and not the new Geissele 2 stage trigger in my LMT MWS. Not always but sometimes I'll double tap when taking a shot, no on purpose. I've done it with my M1 too. What am I doing?

You are not following through on the trigger squeeze. As the trigger breaks you should be holding it in that position, if your finger is flicking off the trigger when the shot breaks then when the rifle bounces off your shoulder the trigger goes back into your finger and fires the next shot. You need to make the release of the trigger a deliberate act that follows the shot at a discrete interval.

Shooting a Semi Auto, especially a bigger caliber like a 308 (as compared to a 223) you have to follow through.

You need to hear the trigger reset, so hold it to the rear, let the gun cycle then release it (As opposed to the 3GUN guys who reset on recoil)

The audible click is there to tell you that you did it right.
