I have a quick installation question. I bought a Triggertech Special for my Bergara HMR and it has a 7 or 8 step process once installed to verify it won’t fire upon bolt closure, safety movement, or an impact to the butt. My question then; is this a common occurrence the rifle accidentally discharging?

If you set the trigger too low, yes,

not all triggers are created equal, a "drop the rifle on its buttstock" with the rifle cocked is a minimum check to conduct.

But with trigger weights trending down, issues with firing on a drop, bolt close, etc, are becoming more frequent
Thanks. I planned on leaving it set at the factory setting so I don’t think it’ll be an issue. I’ll still do all the checks though.

Always verify, always run a function check, in addition I also check function dry firing with snap caps whenever I make a change to make sure feed, extraction, and ejection work fine, whether I had the action out of the stock/chassis to put a new trigger on it, or if it is a new, or different type of magazine.

That’s what I plan to do thanks.
