Im considering buying this scope for a 16" 308.

I searched and have read that the reticle is not Daylight bright.

Buy, Im wondering if the red or green is better for daylight illuminated use, hunting.

Can anyone who has one comment?

Thank you!

Back to the OP's original question: neither the green or red illuminated reticles on the Trij 1-8 measure up to my definition of "daylight bright". You may see claims to the contrary, but to my eyes: No. That being said I own, and strongly prefer, the red illumination. Its a rather subjective determination, but I find red illumination to be much easier to pick-up in daylight.

Red is better for daytime bright. But they have such awesome reticles that you won't have a problem picking up the reticle quickly with or without in daylight. The only thing I liked green for is very very low light, like hunting by moonlight, the green can be turned down so low that you can make out the reticle but still see the target in the moonlight, but most people aren't going to be hunting an hour or more past dark like that.
