Re: Trimming brass - semi vs bolt gun?
I use a WFT trimmer. I find my 7.62 LMT semi auto is about .003ish longer than my .308 savage bolt rifle fired trimmed brass. There is a very very small difference between the two. If I set my WFT to trim my LMT's 7.62 brass @ 2.005,,,,,,, that same trimmer with out resetting it will trim my .308 savage brass down to about 2.002ish give or take. My LMT 7.62 chamber is much more sloppy in comparison to my savage .308 bolt action.
So what I usually do is set my WFT to trim my semi auto LMT brass @ 2.007,,,, and my WFT will trim my savage .308 brass down to about 2.005ish. This way I don't need to re-set the WFT trimmer.

Seems semi stretches more, but its been awhile since I ran a bolt gun. I've got a 6.5 Creed bolt build going, and am trying to get tooled up.
