Trimming

I have to take about an 1/8" off of a 308 case. I have seen trimmers that mount to a press using 7/8 x14 thread. Will this type of trimmer take off that much metal? The thought of doing it with my Lyman means I'll never get the gun up and running.

If you're only reloading for the one caliber, you should really consider the Tri-Way trimmer, or . . . even the Trim-it 2. They'll do a very good job and save you a load of time.

My current project is only for the 375 Raptor, but down the road I may want it for something else. I'll check out the stuff you mentioned.

I was going to go the cheap route and chuck a dreamer cutoff wheel in a drill press and make a jig to slide cases into it for a first rough cut.

Darn again i got all happy thinking by the tittle this was the trimming or growing of the of the beards post sad its about trimming cases , raspberries

A homemade jig and a Harbor Freight cutoff saw might be worth thinking about.
