I'm looking for a tripod to mount my rifle on via a picatinny rail adapter/head. The problem I'm running into is the weight of the rifle, approx 16 pounds. I don't want an overly expensive tripod since if it gets banged up I don't want to be out a huge amount of cash. I'd also like to be able to use it in the standing position which really seems to limit the amount of tripods also.
I like the looks and price of the BOGgear tall tripod but there aren't any specs on weight limit.
Any ideas?
