Hey guys quick question here, any one know of a solid tripod head for good price? When I went through school we just made some out of pvc pipe cut length wise and shoe gooed some iso mat for padding and used a t nut for the threads.

My father in law has a metal shop so i made a few and took some by the Pendleton School House for the PIGs to try out. I made them out of Aluminum pressed them into shape, pressed in stainless threads and used closed cell ISO style pad. I figure I can just paint them up but maybe anodize who knows. While I was there a guy came in with some mount made of carbon fiber, seemed like maybe for that application carbon fiber might be to brittle? he had them formed for about M40 width and it had 90 degree angles on the side. Where mine is the half pipe design, not sure how to post pics yet but will try to put some on my website so you guys can see. (www.harrisongear.com)

another thing I thought about is price I know after buying a very expensive Manfrotto tripod i was not about to drop $150-$300 on an darn mount! So let me know what you guys think

We offer two models SSP-1 fits most sporting rifles and standard sniper rifle stocks such as McMillan A1 - A4, AI stocks, HS Precision stocks for the PSS, VS while the SSP-2 is set up for the wider fore ends of the McMillan A5 or Manners T4. If you have any questions please feel free to email [email protected] ,PM me here, or give me a call 281-541-1549. The prices are certainly well under the price range you listed.
