I know nothing about tripods but I’m looking to buy once cry once get one.

Currently looking at the Two Vets QDT V2 LSI from things I’ve read, lots of people say go inverted? What does that even mean?

Also when it comes to ball heads is bigger better? Looks like Two Vets has a 65mm Arca ballhead now, should I get that over a 55mm?

Thanks! Hoping to order one today with the weekend sales.

Two vets are wonderful.

Inverted is where the leg release is. They are normally at the part closer to the ground where inverted is near the head.

The 65mm is more beefy than the 55mm and better for a heavy gun if you’re going to use it for that.

Most people primarily using tripods for shooting use the rrs anvil 30

Thanks. Ordered the Two Vets QDT LS I.

Will do more research on the RRS Anvil 30 vs the two vets 65mm ball with area419 Arcalock.

Any reasons the RRS Anvil is better?
Its only better for putting a gun on it. Its very small, compact, and easy to handle with your non-trigger hand. The anvil generally isn't considered ideal for glassing, due to lack a dedicated panning feature.
