I recently purchased a new Leupold Mark 4 with M3 knobs. I just received it in the mail today and everything looks good except when I try to spin the elevation knob. It only goes about a half turn and stops around 31 when raising the elevation. I didn't force it and thought I'd ask before I try more troubleshooting. I'm not familiar with Leupold Mark 4 scopes or anything of that caliber of scope. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Trouble with my Leupy Mark 4

Refer to your manual. M3 turrets are a single turn with a zero stop. If you have half a turn up, and half a turn down you need to zero it correctly so that your zero is at the bottom and all you have is one full turn of "up".

Yeah, about that manual...I bought it from another Hide member. No papers or box. Came on a rifle he bought and is updgrading the scope. Says its new and I believe him. No ring marks and seems to be in good shape. I may have to call Leupold to get the papers.
