Trump Caves to Justin

Are we better off than if NAFTA continued?

Is there a Trans Pacific Partnership letting Vietnam take the last of our manufacturing away.

Lets go back and fuck with Bieber again in the second term.

Elections are next month he needs money in peoples pockets now.

He had to address this before the mid term but I will almost guarantee he will revisit this issue later. He still got quite a few things addressed in the new deal but not near enough.

I read ter article, but I don' see what are the specific issues/problems?

We are not getting actual free trade nor will the playing field be equal with them complying with regulations we impose upon ourselves hindering the ability of our businesses to compete to an extent.

But at least we are moving to an incrementally better deal.

If I read right Mexico is going to have to pay a minimum wage of approx $17 per hour for products coming into the US. It should make it harder for a manufacturer to justify not building in the US. Its not perfect but its better than trying to have our workers compete against $1 per hour.

I would like to see trading partners have to meet our regulations or pay a tarrif equal to the cost. If an environmental regulation must be met here for the good of Gaia than we should expect China or whoever to comply otherwise we just offshore our pollution.

Ditto OSHA regs that add costs to our manufacturing.

Well maybe it's me, but I never thought we would get totally free , open and equal trade on the first go around with Canada or any other trading partner. I do expect Trump to be much more harsh on predatory trading partners, especially on those that demand transfer of intellectual property.

What Trump has done to deconstruct NAFTA is a very good first step. Note, the new agreement with Canada upholds tariffs on steel and aluminum imported into the U.S. for example.

Until I see more specific details, I'm not of the opinion he totally caved on anything NAFTA. Time will tell.

I imagine that Mexico would fudge the numbers just like most other manufacturers would. They would add any health insurance, the Mexican equivalent of OSHA, taxes, and training employees, and whatever else they could come up with to get their $3.00 per hour employee's wages some how come up to the $17 per hour. If there was something in the agreement that says it is a base wage of $17 per hour before all the other "add ons", then it would help.

All the relatives my mother keeps in touch with or the canadians that live down here hate Trump love Obama.

I note also many of them earned their SS down here than head back to Canada on retiring and live a bucolic life on PEI collecting a SS check and a Canadian pensioners check.

Ah so that’s the scam.
That Samantha Bee cunt is aggravating. I’ve always wondered: if high taxes, socialism, gun control and open immigration are all so great, why not go the fuck back to Canada? Why stay in the US and bitch at the top of your lungs that it isn’t Canada? Her, the African kid that took over for Jon Stuart and that limey fuck on HBO form the holy trinity of libtard foreigner comedians that make their living bashing America to the delight of domestic libtards. I wish they’d all go the fuck home and take our trash with them back to their commie utopias.

Well guys, I don't know if you're shit-magnets or not, but I can honestly say (as a Canadian) that NONE of the fellow Canuckians that I know and hang around with have anything bad to say about Trump. And believe me when I tell you, we all HATED the obombination that your fellow brethren voted in TWICE.

My friends up here also hate what we're calling the Punk Martinet because he's totally embarrassed the position of Prime Minister. And yes, some of my fellow Canuckians voted this bastard in.

So yeah, keep on thinking that you're better than we are. I understand where that's coming from. You deserve to be rewarded. Your participation ribbon is hanging in the bathroom, on a roll.

I've not been following the latest 'agreement' at all, because right now everything is hype and agenda. I also have NO influence on the outcome, so my only option is to see what happens when things actually happen. But believe me when I tell you, I know what it's like to get "screwed over" by your so-called friends, neighbors, allies, and teammates.

And none of my circle of fellow Canuckians are what you call "Snowbirds" so I can't say anything to that. That concept is as foreign to me, as communist china is to you. Or, considering your addiction to wallyworld, maybe that is a bad comparison. I wouldn't know.

You must be from the part of Canada that works and through your taxes pays for the rest of canada to be on welfare from harevest until they go back to work at spring planting.

Best career in canada is probably lobsterman. You are allowed to work two weeks than probably collect the other 50.

That was an aggressive reply, you'd better apologize. Go ahead, say you're soory. Hoser.

JK. I'm sure there are plenty of Canucks who are very disenchanted with the direction Canada has taken in recent years, you're just outnumbered. I wish some of you would come down here and vote to keep us from becoming outnumbered.

I'm one. Working on getting a green card through the wife. I've lived in the US for the past ~9 years, graduating from college and working in the O&G sector for the past 6 years.

My company just transferred me back to Canada, but trying to get back to the USA as I've been split up from my wife. Thankfully I work rotationally and get to visit my wife in AZ on my time off.

After living in the USA, I can see how bad it has gotten up in Canada. It was a bit gut wrenching to be transferred back. It's turning into a virtue signalling socialist hell hole. I want no part of it.

I welcome people that want to be American.

Dual passports/nationality/hyphens not so much.

Never exercised my born with dual nationality USA/Canada status.

Dad passed before he got his citizenship but Mom is a dipped in RED, White and Blue former Maple Leaf.

One of my finest moments in the Marine Corps was working TDY at US Embassy Ottawa when a dual nationality American/Canadian kid came in wanting to renounce his American citizenship. Gulf war I was spinning up and he was scared. It was past 1700 so I sent him away "The Embassy is closed until regular business hours on Monday". Perhaps it might have been 1659 hours but the Marine Ball was that night - no sense screwing the consular officer from having a good time to deal with this.

I hope that kid came to his senses over the following 48 hours and now when he sees a Marine in dress blues he says "A guy wearing that uniform saved me from making the biggest mistake I almost ever made in my life".

PMclaine, as you're well aware.... not all "fellow countrymen" are worth having. This country has its idiots, just the same as ya'll do. The smart ones in this country though, are seriously hoping, praying, and doing what we can to prevent the current idiot from getting a second term. We're sure hoping that our country learns from ya'lls mistake.

We are wanting to develop an item here. If things go as planned, then we'd be of enough financial stature to move down there. My Lady has the ability to move down across the line whenever she wants,,,,, and I'm good with tagging along. We ain't gonna do that though, without a guaranteed income of some sort. Hence the difference between real folks, and those who others (AJ???) deal with/hang with.

Sir I would never hold you guilty by association.

and a good 25% or more of this population have squandered their good fortune by refusing to contribute.

The place would be a lot better if we replaced them tomorrow with people THAT WANT TO BE HERE AND WOULD WANT TO SALUTE OUR FLAG"

I wish every Brit, Canuck, European, whatever that was worth a shit, loves freedom and wants to work and is sick of what’s become of their country would immigrate to the US and make it a stronghold that the commie peckerneck Berkley, NYC etc types could never hope to crack. Then maybe we can ‘convince’ domestic commies to get the fuck out.

Ill keep my communists before I import any foreign ones.

Yeah not the commies, the good ones. You don’t think there are citizens of socialist/communist countries that hate the way things are and long for freedom and an economic system that rewards hard work? As an extreme example I’ll site the defectors that risk(ed) their lives (and sometimes die) crossing the DMZ or climbing the Berlin Wall.

They would probably harbor more hatred of commies and be more dedicated to the preservation of freedom than even you, having tasted what it’s like when it’s lost.

Let’s import them. The commies import the dregs of the world (their voting base) Trump should put out a call to the freedom loving people of the world who have watched helplessly as London, Paris, Berlin, etc etc have turned into third world shitholes, and even been made to pay for it all with ridiculous taxes.

Test would be simple:
What are your skills?
Do you reject socialism and communism as failed ideologies?
Are you willing to fight for your freedom?
Are you willing to take a shit on this picture of Dianne Feinstein?
Would you like a free AR15? (Hey, Obama gave the welfare rats iPhones)
