I saw the letter. The kid wrote the WH and asked to do this, saying it would be "an honor to mow the WH lawn and give back to the country". Don't know where a child that age gets that from, I think parents fill kids heads full of shit they aren't ready for but whatever. It's what HE wanted to do. He volunteered. Some of these dickheads bitching about it could learn from him.

Trump said he's "gonna be a Seal some day" and I wouldn't doubt it, he seems to have what it takes at this point.

Oh, notice it's a Honda he's using BTW. Figured WH wouldn't be so cheap as to buy one without the powered wheels though, hell, we have that and use it FAR less.

Child labor? Fuck off. Politics is killing this nation and we are heading towards civil war or worse if it's not stopped. Child labor would be them hiring kids on the norm and/or making it so children work instead of going to school. For low wages and no protections. Basically forced to do so. This kid was not.

I think Trump is fucking disgusting, but he didn't attack the US Constitution regarding 2A so I voted for him but that's the only reason. I also call bullshit when I see it and saying he's involved in child labor over this is asinine. Possible he's involved in it overseas or elsewhere, who knows, but this? Uh-uh. No way.

I admire the energy and initiative. Not a hell of a lot of kids would go through the hoopla of writing the letter, following up, and then actually doing it. Little guy was even going to bring his own kit and gas. Pretty strong imo.
Is it a photo op and set up? Sure. But it's a good one.
Good on Trump giving the kid attaboys and a tour. Pour les encouragement des les autre! Never know what other kid was watching and thought "hey, that's pretty cool". You just never know the ripple effect these things can have.
in our current society with all the press coverage of the negatives, unrest, bickering, blowing people up and even throwing acid on people, it's nice to see something positive.

Every job a kid used to do has been taken away and given to an adult.

That is a damning statement on our job market yet no one recognizes it.

Paperboys/girls ------- gone
Stock boys/girls ---------gone
High school boys/girls working Dunkin Donuts ---------gone

Now its adults in SUVs delivering papers over what used to be 4-5 paperboy routes
20 year old ESL people stocking grocery shelves
20 something year old ESL people serving up the coffee

Where we used to have an economy that allowed these people to work in "careers" now we have them working what would have been considered starter jobs and demanding "career" pay.

That douche reporter is a tool of the unions. He probably wants to picket the WH because the kid is a 'scab" that took away a union job.
