Same here in Tennessee. We have a BIG agricultural community in east Tennessee and along with that comes migrant workers. In the off season they work at other places. They arrested most of the employees at a local meat processing plant for being here illegally. It was the countries largest immigration raid in over a decade, they arrested a LOT of illegals in that raid.
They also charged the owner with a bunch of crimes and has been found guilty. He also had to pay fines, $41K in Tennessee OSHA fines alone. Now the feds are getting involved because he kept over $1.5 million in payroll taxes instead of paying the fed.

There is a huge "perspective shift" needed. Right and wrong need to exist again. The laws that already exist need to mean something. It can't be a situation of 'convenience and emotion'. The story above about the girl in Japan is very pertinent. It seems that they have laws there, and people there are 'held to' those laws. And such laws come with repercussions.

I have long believed that there don't need to be any draconian programs such as shooting people trying to sneak into the USA through the southwestern desert. Just stop giving out any SSI benefits, health care, education, access to US schools, and have a tax/tarrif/or other kind of fee for any money sent from the USA to countries south of the US border.
