Just picked my new B14R this morning and am trying to decide on scope base. I'm using a Diamondback Tactical 6-24X50 I took off of a Savage TR build. Will also be using Mark 4 extra high rings off of same rifle. For the time being local gun club I belong to will not let us use any of the targets over 100 yards for rimfire so that is my max range for now. Being that this is my limit is there any need for a base above 0 MOA. I really like the way the 419 base is made but they don't have a 0 MOA option and I don't know if 20 MOA would be desirable in my situation. Also like the Seekins Precision base and it comes in 0 MOA. Any advise would be helpful.

@SeaSoldier I haven't tried 25 yards. My scope Vortex Viper PST has the zero stop set at 50 and the paralax minimum of 25 yards and I've not had the need to shoot that close. I'll have to try it. Is there a need for that close zero? I have used holds on 40-45 yards.

Just getting into 22lr myself. I was watching the longrangeshootersofutah on youtube and I could swear I heard it said that most of their rifles are zeroed at 25. I have a 30moa mount on mine as well but still waiting on my rings to arrive. I have an Atlon Ares ETR 4.5-30×56.

50 yard zero is the most common for .22lr. Hold under for closer distances.

I got an aluminum egw 20 moa. Its priced at $35. I had it, so I used it. My b14 with a different stock is 12.3 pounds with harris and a leupold vxr. My new, better scope will add weight. So running these to get grouping and see what it likes. I didnt see the need for steel due to lack of recoil, but good to add weight. Just my thought, IF any other opinions please post.
