Hi I'm trying to get rid of the trigger slap in my Maadi RPM. Nothing I do seems to work. So far I've grinded down the dis-connector where I'm supposed to, no luck, swapped out a complete trigger group from a Maadi ak that has no trigger slap and installed it into the RPM and it still had trigger slap! It seems as if the bolt is flying back faster than what it should causing the dis-connector to hit the trigger. I dont think installing a new trigger group will help after the trigger group swap results. Any ideas on where to look next? I just noticed that the gas block is canted off too the left, could this cause the problem? I'm stuck guys, help me out!

Re: Trying to get rid of trigger slap

Just thought I would update on this. I fixed it by having to continue grinding down the disconnector, I had to do a lot of grinding on the underside of the disconnector where the disconnector spring goes into. All in all I'm glad I got rid of the trigger slap, makes a much nicer weapon.

Try this - a very informative read on cause & effect and of course fix (hopefully). Let us know if this helps?
