I see some people shoot coyotes with the wolf 123gr HP ammo and it doesn't seem to tear them up to bad.
How would you compare the tulammo 8M3 or what effect have you seen on coyotes/bobcats with the 8M3?

The new production tulammo with the 8m3 hollow point has had mixed results. You may not actually be getting the actual original 8m3 fragmenting bullet depending on production run.

I use Wolf SP and HP for hogs and yotes in FL. We don't spend much time checking out wounds we have so many hogs down here it's literally just trying to kill as many as fast as possible if it's piled up it's all good reload on to next field.

Thanks!
Any reports on coyotes/ bobcats are also welcome -
Most times I don't care about being fur friendly, but sometimes competitions are based off weight and a bobcat with a softball sized hole doesn't weigh as much as one without a softball sized hole missing. This is why i ask, I want dead, preferably DRT, but I don't want unnecessary damage (blowing the entire backside off the animal, etc) that causes a significant weight loss of the cat or dog.

Does a slower moving 8M3 cause more damage than say a much faster moving 55gr VMAX or a 75gr BTHP?

I can't say b/c I've not used the aforementioned I came from using a 308AR and that round obliterated everything. I shot a yote recently right in the chest was facing me he piled up like a box of rocks at around 150 yards bang flop with HP don't recall seeing exit anywhere. Sorry I can't get more sciency for ya

It's funny I've engaged in some of these 'my caliber is better' convos online with folks. 'But look at my exit would this caliber is so much better than yours! Show me the wound channel on your kills to prove to me it's as good as mine!'. I'm just a dumb hick and don't complicate it so much: Rifle go bang animal go flop that's good nuff for me I leave all the ncis forensics to others. I know that's not what you were asking though I get it keep the fur together is the goalf or yo uand I think the HP or SP will do that for you quite well. Have fun on your fur hunts!
