it was definitly a fun day with the winds sometimes breaking 30 mph at some of the shooting stations. made you work hard for those first shot hits no matter what the range was!!!
all in all though we had a great time and i want to thank all the shooters for putting up with me and my portable bench. i am just getting back into shooting after having a very serious neck surgery on the 17th of december, 2010. i had a great time with everyone and especially george and john (hope i remembered their names right) from Connecticut, it was a great pleasure to shoot with you guys and everyone else too.

Wind was definitely a factor. I was very happy today with how the 7mm-08 handled the wind. Tom installed a harrel's muzzle brake for me and it made a world of difference being able to spot my own impacts. It was definitely a good wind learning day. Thanks everyone for a fun day and I enjoyed shooting with all of you even though I never like to come in lower than 1st place :-D

Thanks,
Merritt

yep merrit was like a kid with a new toy. by the way he was shooting his 7-08 it was clear he liked what it was doing at the targets. it was fun just watching him shoot.

Definitely a good time despite the crazy wind. Surprisingly, the new AR worked pretty good on a day I figured shooting 223 would be a bad idea.
