Twede Mauser iron sights question.

Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster. I have what is called a Twede Mauser. It is a sporterized 1941 Turkish K Kale M38 with a Swedish M96 6.5x55 barrel. I was going to change it back to 8mm.... Until I shot it. I am in love with the Swede round so the barrel is staying. However, the barrel has no front or rear sights at all. It is drilled for a scope, and I'll likely get one, but I still want irons on the gun because it just looks goofy without them IMHO.

So now the actual questions. Are Mauser sights interchangeable between small and large ring? I want to put an M38 stock back on it. Would a Swede rear sight line up with the hole in the upper wood? Could I use Turkish sights? Could I use any other non-german sights that don't cost a fortune? What are my options?

Thanks in advance! I'll attach a couple pictures. I think it's a new-old-stock barrel but maybe someone can verify.

Good question. I got roped into helping a friend re-barrel two K98 large ring actions so I have two sets of both front and rear iron sights to measure. I have a Spanish M1916 (small ring) converted from 7mm to 308. I can measure the barrel profiles to determine there is a profile difference if no one chimes in with a definitive answer.

(First and only post on April fools day, decides to keep the barrel after shooting it with no scope or sights. (I suppose that's possible, if it was a recoil thing) People finally reposed after 6 months. The is some web forum Bermuda triangle type shit.)
