Rifle Scopes Ultra Dot Pan AV

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

I had a bad experience with one of their other sights. It died after one use and I couldn't get any response from the company, either from several phone messages or email. I did get in touch with their repair subcontractor who told me the sight was out of warranty despite the fact that the packaging clearly stated it had a lifetime warranty and I was the original owner. I would not buy another sight from them nor recommend them to others.

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

My girlfriend has the pan AV on her High Standard .22. I've shot it a little bit. It's a nice sight and I would recommend it but can not give you a long term review, she bought the gun used not long ago and the sight came on it. Also can't say how it hold up to more recoil.

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

OK sounds like hit or miss. I want a red dot to go on a 10" 440 corbon barrel for my DE. I had a leupy 2xeer but didn't like it. An Aimpoint micro or a trijicon reflex looks awesome but want to keep the price under $300. Might be hard to do for a good solid sight that can handle the recoil of the boomers.

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

I would look at the Vortex red dot. Check with them to make sure its rated for that caliber. If something does go wrong their customer service is supposed to be top notch.

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

When I shot Bullseye, all I used were UltraDots. At that time, the majority of red dots on the line at Camp Perry were UD models.

Never had an issue, and only ever heard glowing reports of their customer service. Of course, the importer was on Commercial Row every year too, that may have helped.

Re: Ultra Dot Pan AV

The boys at work mentioned C-More. Price is right, now to find the right MOA dot. I'm going to put it on my 10" 440 corbon barrel. I'll be shooting golf ball at 50 yards to gongs at 200.
