Guys,
I made this for the sole purpose to take to Shot Show and get some feedback.
It looks exactly like my regular bean bag but weighs in at 2.5 Oz.
I had it at the booth till Wed. when a certain someone just had to have it............so I gave it to him.

Tell me what you think and if there is an interest.
From the guys that did get to have hands on it was well received.

Thanks,
Stu

As I said in the other thread:

Stu, that was pretty dang funny. Oh, and Stu's new rear bag is about as slick as it gets. Same functionality, and a fraction of the weight. Very cool stuff man. </div></div>

In mine, Id like a few more pieces of the stuffing material in it to fill it out a bit more. But, thats just a personal preference.

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

I'm working on it.
Trying to figure out how many diff. versions I want to do.
I'll post up more pictures of the diff. versions I have in mind and run with 1 or 2 depending on the feedback.

Thanks guys,
Stu

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

I would be very interested. I have just been introduced to them from some of the pics in the AI thread. I need something that will work good with the AI stock and this look like it will be it.

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

Less weight where I can get it is always preferred. It does look like it needs a little more stuffing. My only concern would be if the lightweight stuffing holds up as well as your standard bag. I have your original bag and it is holding up very well.

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

The origional bean bag weighs in at 1.5 lbs +-

"More stuffing": Nope, not really. The bag can be squeezed to reach full height. If you add more filler (polly pellets or this stuff) you can't get any lower in the bag with the butt stock.

Here are two more proto-types going out tomorrow.

Multicam bean bag: ditch the short strap (honestly not needed) add paracord loop.
ACU bean bag: short strap same thing, add 3/4" webbing/buckle, add no-skid to bottom side(THIS IS NOT NORMAL PRODUCTION) . This guy uses primarily AR's and holds the bag like a soda can.

Picture above shown on scale with both bags weighing in at less than 1/2 lb.

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

light with the fastex buckle looks like a winner. Then I can clip it on the ruck and not waste pocket space.

That is the version I want, as long as the buckle is small enough to go through PALS webbing so I can snap it on my ruck.

thanks

Has the new filler been tested in adverse conditions like rain?

Is it water proof ?

I bet it floats!!

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

hi Stu could the older heavier bags be sent back to have them refilled? mine are like new and i could empty the contents and send them back to save shipping and get them refilled?

Also interested in one of the harness sets.

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

Hey guys,
the buckle standard production run version will "not" have no-skid on one circle end.
The pictured bag above was for a board member and was his request.
I do not have yards of no-skid available to make it an option, sorry.

Thanks,
Stu

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

Guys,

I just recieved my bag from Stu

Man is it LIGHT

if definatly has a differnt fill to it it is very different than his standard bag

while the std bad has the smaller grainer fill to it, this has larger pieces that fill it up

I think this is a great addition to the line up Stu has, this for me is going to be a great hunting bag, you can clip this to you and carry it around all day and not notice it or take it up in the tree stand for a front rifle rest, i will try it out in an upcoming match in feb

overall, i am impressed

i think this and then a half pint bag would be the prefect comboination of bags for most shooting

let me know if yall have any other questions

Re: Ultra lite bean bag @ Shot 2010

Stu,

Sounds awesome! I was lovin' the standard bag and Tactical pillow that I took over to FCWC last summer - light-weight (compared to a regular sand bag!) and water-proof (essential @ Bisley!), and good enough to help snag a couple gold medals
wink.gif

Any chance of getting a tactical pillow filled with this lightweight material? I have to admit, one of my favorite things about even the regular bags is that it keeps my kit light enough to just pick up and hike between yardlines - no draggin' a dang cart or making multiple trips. Lighter is better - other than the gun
