Ummm... Is anyone noticing something missing?

Don't mean to be a conspiracy theorist, but is it just me or is the Bear Pit light one thread? All I'll say is it contained some rather entertaining dialogue, spurred on by a series of product claims.

Before I hit the rack last night, I noticed one of the last posts contained an interesting twist on the possible origin of the product in question.

I woke up this morning, poured me a cup of dark black joe (black as the sky on a moonless night) and sat down to catch up on a couple watched threads. Sure enough, when I went to see how it had progressed overnight, it was gone. Vanished without a trace; as if it <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">never</span></span> existed.

Just sayin.....

You aren't imagining things. I noticed that the thread had disappeared as well. However, with that being said....the thread was starting to get out of hand so its better that it just went away. A flame war was probably going to happen with that thread. Anytime someone said something negative, the OP in that thread would try to slam them, which is not allowed. Certainly, it was no way for the OP to get folks from the site to help him out. There are lots of knowledgeable shooters on this forum who are willing to help just about anyone, provided they don't act like a douchebag if they receive advice they don't like. Especially someone who isn't established. You can't come into someone else's house and turn over all their furniture and expect to be welcomed with open arms. Know-it-alls typically are shown the door pretty quickly here. Don't go around bashing those who are well respected for their knowledge, especially when everybody who has been around a while knows who those folks are and what they have done or currently do.

Ahhh... but wouldn't it just get locked? There's been some pretty heated threads on here; far worse than the one in question. Yet, this one just completely vanishes shortly after the Roswell mention.

Now you guys know, this is a privately owned website, not subject to the 1st amendment, 2nd, 4th...or 5th.. , so no....if it derails from quality it goes away...I do the same on WCT...

Some of them need to go away LOL (I think I know which thread you were talking about.)

Sounds like you may have hit a nerve and this thread might hit the same nerve in which case you might be "vanished"...

Seriously?! I wasn't even a contributor to the thread in question. The point of starting this thread was a joke directed towards the reference to the product claim being based out of Roswell/Area 51 and the irony that it was deleted shortly after that post.

It's just in fun man! If there was a legitimate reason for the thread to be deleted, so be it. I honestly don't care and have no issue with it. I didn't mean for this to lead to any sincere bashing of site protocol.
