Found this Remington 700 that a local dealer had taken in on trade but didn't have much info on. The price seems fair to me but wondered if anyone could provide insight on what may actually be on the rifle.

<span style="text-decoration: underline">What dealer said:</span>
Remington 700
McMillan Stock (Unknown which series)
Optics: 10-42 (Japan)
Two piece base
Duracoat finish
6-9" Harris-like bipod

Specifically looking for info on the stock but anything helps. Thanks all.

Reasonable price for the package?

Re: Unknown Rem 700 and acc.

Bell&Carlson stock and Super Sniper scope, Warne rings?.

Beyond that, hard to say. How long is the barrel and what caliber?

Re: Unknown Rem 700 and acc.

Not a McMillan stock , looks like a Bell and Carlson medalist with a Karsten , or something similar , cheek piece on it . The scope looks like a Super Sniper .

Re: Unknown Rem 700 and acc.

I agree:

Stock: Bell & Carson Tactical Medalist A2 w/Karsten Cheekpiece
Scope: Looks like a Super Sniper 10x42MM , but could be a early Tasco version of the same thing, before SWFA took over the rights.
Rings: Looks like Warne

Nice find. What caliber? And are the barrel and action painted?

.308, dealer said that it had been duracoated (looked like Krylon to me) but there were several rough spots you might be able to see just forward of the bolt on the right and about 7" back from the muzzle.

Re: Unknown Rem 700 and acc.

Thanks for the help. It's on its way to the safe:

Remington 700 w/ 26" barrel
Bell and Carlson Medalist stock
Karsten Cheek Piece
Warne rings and base
Super Sniper 10x42
Harris knock-off
Duracoat/(Krylon) finish

If the dealer told you that was a McMillan stock, I wouldn't believe anything he says
