My brother in law is looking at putting some work into a 700 .308 adl that he bought a few months back from Academy. He's not very happy with the stock he has and is also looking at changing the trigger. He will primarily be using this gun for deer hunting and will be primarily shooting it offhand. We are looking at getting a shilen trigger installed as I have one on my 5r that he really likes. As for the stock we have been looking at a Bell and Carlson Alaskan II stock. I'm not very familiar with all the options for stocks but we were looking at a stock that is geared for more lightweight off hand shooting vs benchrest stock. I'm also not really sure as to what the contour of the barrel is so I'm a little confused as to what to order. An input would be appreciated.
