Gunsmithing Upgrading McMillan A4 Cheek Piece

My friend bought a new rifle with a spring loaded cheek piece. What he would do was release the screw that tighten the cheek piece, rest his head on the cheek piece untill he feels comfortable and in the perfect height and tighten the screw. Super smart.

On the A4 you have to hold the cheek piece up and tighten it while resting the head....it's really annoying. So I thought about it and came up with the idea to spring load the cheek rest on the A4. I'm by NO MEANS a handy man and this video is only for inspirational purpose. Most of you can probably do it better.

I'm going to try to improve on it. Was just a spontaneous decision to do it today. I'll try to make better springs and I'll probably sand down the small grooves on the cheek pad post. They make the sliding up and down kinda difficult.
