I will be attending a training course that teaches urban sniper hide preparation and deployment. In the course description and requirements, they state for us to bring "netting."
I know that netting is used to mask the visibility from anyone outside the sniper hide looking in.
Can anyone tell me what is a good type of netting to use and where to buy it?

Exactly what he said.

Get some screen material (not the old metal stuff) that folds easily. You can get it at OSH, Lowes, Home Depot... Also pick up a set of push pins/thumb tacs with it. Sometimes the duct tape wont stick in dusty areas.

Also, a tan or white sheet to drape over your position helps blend with most interior settings.

It's much more susceptible to being blown by a wind. I always preferred the screen.

You are looking for a scrim fabric. Like this:

You can get it at virtually any fabric store and a lot of crafters stores. It comes by the yard and is dirt cheap. I prefer it to home window screen because it's lighter and wads up into a ball. I keep a couple of yards of it in my pack.

You can use thumbtacks to secure it (always carry a couple of cards of thumbtacks).

Very light and you can shoot right through it. You can see out, but it's impossible to see back into a dim room.

You can also spray paint it.

It also works very well if you use a car as a hide.

Cheers,
