I'm truly glad to see that SH has grown so large over the last few years and that many members (including me) enjoy discussing a wide variety of topics. I'm also happy that so many people have become involved in long-range shooting and that many of them have found their way to Sniper's Hide.
Blood & gore, sex, and violence are always popular subjects for the same kind of men who like shooting and firearms. When it comes to hot women and porn, I admit that I probably like it even more than the average guy. When it comes to sprayed brains and spilled blood, a lot of the military/police guys have already seen a lot of that in real life, including me. I don't have a problem with others posting such stuff so long as it serves some kind of bona fide illustrative purpose. However, the posting of such photos from
old and overtly bullshit stories like this one serve no real purpose and are just a cheap excuse to post pics of dead people. A certain amount of morbid curiosity regarding blood, guts, and dead bodies is normal but those of us who have smelled it, walked in it, caused it, loaded it on a truck, or had it on our uniform have long since matured. If viewing and posting it is your thing, that's cool but you might have better luck with the websites devoted to such things. There's plenty of them out there.
Believe it or not, Sniper's Hide still serves as a repository of knowledge that is referenced by professionals. Every now and then, I still send send information from this site to others in my field who can actually use it the next time they are called upon to take a shot meant to save someone's life. I may be way out of line saying this because it's not my site and I'm not a moderator but the original post is exactly what we don't need on Sniper's Hide.
