So it looks like the Soloman Islanders are sucking Chicom dick.
I'm sorry but there was so much American blood spilled there that maybe we should just tell them to F off and send a cruise missile into their fricking port or better yet, re-furb the BB-63 Missouri and send a few broadsides there.

While I understand your jingoistic sentiment, perhaps you would be well served to look at things from the viewpoint of other people around the world.

Let's break down your statement:
According to you, if some sovereign nation doesn't grant permission for another nation's warship to visit their port,
(Which let me make clear is well accepted international law and diplomatic norms and has been in place for hundreds of years that foreign warships have to have permission from the country to dock at their ports.)

What you demand is that we should attack them, kill a bunch of them and destroy their country for daring to say no thanks and not dropping to their knees and worshiping our supreme military and bowing to our corrupt politicians as the lords and masters of the earth.

You think nothing of this of course because you have the privilege of being a citizen of a country that assumes they are the most powerful on the planet and as such has some natural right to tell the rest of the world what to do and treat them like serfs and plunder and subjugate them because of course might = right or something like that.

It is EXACTLY that kind of thinking and that behaviour that is making many countries wish to more closely align themselves with someone else.
The USA and the Australians treated the Solomon Islands like a colony of serfs and according to us, it didn't even rate an embassy.

Chinese show up, say hey we'd like a base, we'll give you lots of money, we'll not interfere in your country no matter what you do to your local citizens and once we get our base here, the colonial powers won't be able to bully you quite as much and we'll put on a show of respecting you and have your leader do some photo ops with our leader etc.

If you ever bothered to try to put yourself in the shoes of others, you'd understand why that's a compelling offer.

Or should the Russians and Chinese have just as much right to go bomb the hell out of any country that says no thanks to a visit from one of their warships?

The USA has spent a good part of the last 30 years playing big bully around the globe and even our "friends" aren't all that happy about it. China is showing up to the poor, bullied, exploited countries and presenting themselves as a better alternative to the ruthless domination of colonial powers and their allies.

don't forget the chinese do this with money they get from us and our politicians (via their policies and graft).
we are literally funding it.

And.......this is relevant, how ?

W makes some excellent points. The overall message is a bit tough to swallow, but sometimes, the truth does hurt.

Think about the number of endless/pointless wars we have been in, the number of "regime changes" our cia has been involved in, the poverty, misery and starvation of other countries citizens, visited on them by the likes of the imf.

Then, put yourselves in the shoes of those same citizens. I think it goes without saying that the United States doesn't look like the shining castle on the hill that most of us tend to think it does.

For absolute clarification; I am NOT bashing our military. If our politicians, bankers and spooks feel bashed, that is fine with me.

Because it's interesting to me, that's how.

You his Daddy or sumtin'?
a "mis-spelled" or different spelling of the same word is "interesting" ?

Alrighty then.

Oh, and did any of his points resonate/register with you ? Those points are far more important than any implied "mis-spelling", "interesting" as it may be.

It’s not so much that powerful countries being bullies is unexpected, it’s just that now that the US is actively destroying itself from within, no one wants to listen to a has-been pussy bitch. The US has become such a joke that mid tier countries have no respect anymore.

I now see you heavily edited your previous posts to me.

Careful you might lose your self appointed job as thread monitor. BTW the MPT needs your attention, they have gotten way off track with the EV's.

US soldiers have invaded 68 sovereign countries since 1776 causing loss of life and misery to many but somehow they are convinced that they did so in the protection of the constitution and of Americans back home thousands of miles away. It’s a truly mind boggling connection to make. 🤷‍♂️ Knowing this people want to make bombing runs on the Solomon Islands because a ship was “dissed”. That’s gang member mentality kind of shit. My goodness.

Well they didn't let a British ship dock for refueling, either. The USCG and Royal Navy know why they were denied, we don't, and they're not telling. Maybe they didn't have the fuel, maybe everyone was on lunch, or maybe China told them not to. Who's to say? The ships were diverted to Papua New Guinea, AFAIK, and the Royal Navy seems to indicate they'll be going back to the Solomons in the future.

Could it be China? Sure. Could it not? Also yes. Do the Solomons deserve obliteration for that? No, but I'm sure there are plenty of missiles programmed to visit them if the Chinese do use it as a base or something so...

Actually, yes. It wasn’t so much of an edit as it was a matter of adding to the post. I do that periodically. The “edits” are there for all to see, as opposed to somehow trying to “hide” them, which I am not.

And, having thought about it, I apologize to you. I shouldn’t have jumped you on your post.

Guadalcanal appreciates you elevating them to “mid tier”

Why is the USCG there?

The knee jerk reflex response of course would be "Pax Americana" and that is actually reasonably correct.

The more detailed explanation is that "it's complicated" but around that area, a fairly large group of countries from as far away as the USA, UK, France, Australia, New Zealand and such tend to patrol around enforcing international agreements as they wish, they also stage coordinated events and such from time to time and the local governments are also in on it, although most of them pretty much are too poor to afford more than a couple token boats.

Tiny little countries with GDPs that are smaller than many cities pretty much depend on being in the "orbit" of richer nations for any significant security issues. The Solomon Islands is working on moving out of the western orbit of security influence and into the Chinese orbit of security influence. While of course trying to not come down too hard on one side of the fence because you know keep the door open for handouts and bribes from both sides much like a kid with divorced parents.

Which is why they didn't actually say No, they just "didn't respond" oh I'm sorry we would have loved to let you dock but the guy that can authorize that was out on a canoe getting in touch with his ancestors, next time of course we'll try to get back to you in time...

Am I jingoistic? Unabashedly yes. I love my Country, my state and our way of life, all of which are under attack from within and without, primarily from the Chicoms and the fucking libtard left.
Here in Texas Chicom fentanyl is flooding across our border thanks to the cartels who are gladly in sync with the Chicoms.
So let the Soloman's suck the Chicom's collective dick so they can get some free shit.
What do you propose we do? Give them free stuff like we left in A-stan and are currently giving to the Ukies?
So fuck the Soloman's and China. The friend of my enemy is MY enemy.

Blind jingoism is why MIC pulls shit like Gulf of Tonkin or sending Colon (not misspelled) Powell to the UN.

If you still have trust, you are not paying attention.

Absolutely. You don’t quite go far enough and include any and all government institutions at the city, county, state, and federal levels considering they all pretend the unelected president has any constitutional authority. His people are raping the country and not one state has pushed back. Sick shit.

Just for clarification, don’t take my words above as pissing on the American soldier. Their commander and chief past, future, and present are doing enough of that by convincing them that getting blown up over seas somehow is fighting for the constitution and americas security. I am expressing tough love by not holding back the truth in hopes at least one confused young adult that is about to sign his personal sovereignty over to satanic institution (government) decides otherwise or maybe one soldier realizes that the work is at home and not abroad and doesn’t sign back up to empower criminals. I care about them because I do not lie to them. I will not blindly thank a soldier for doing nothing for the country but everything for the most evil men on earth. This white lie only adds to recruitment numbers and I won’t have none of that on my conscience.

If you hate the Chinese so much that you want to go murder a whole bunch of black skinned folks on some insignificant island on the other side of the planet, that have never been a threat to the USA and are incapable of mounting any threat, perhaps you could take a break from feeling righteous about wanting to murder a bunch of essentially innocent civilians and take a good hard look in the mirror...

The USA practically created Communist China as we know it today:

After WWII the USA refused to help the nationalists beat the communists and instead provided huge loans to the communist block which helped fund the communist party's victory.

Then it was the USA that was the leader in telling the rest of the world to stick it to the Taiwanese and become best buddies with the Chinese Communists.
The USA provided huge amounts of low interest loans to the Chinese Communists to build up their economy and infrastructure as well as shifting our manufacturing base to Communist China and making them our biggest one way trading partner. The USA built the Chinese industrial machine and gave them all the technology they needed to get where they are today.

The USA led the way, pushing the rest of the world to move their industry to China.
The USA led the charge to send money to the Chinese Communists for "family planning" that they used to further their genocide of "undesirable people"

Even today, we officially refuse to acknowledge Taiwan as a sovereign nation because we want to be nice to the Chinese Communists.

Do you happen to have an iPhone? If so, congratulations, you are helping pay for Chinese Communists to have advanced technology.
Do you happen to shop at Walmart? If so, well again you are helping destroy American industry and build up China's industry.
Do you happen to watch professional sports? If so, you are supporting folks that obediently worship the Chinese Party and honour them.
Do you happen to watch Hollywood movies? If so, you are supporting folks totally in bed with the Chinese Communists.
If you pay taxes, congratulations, your tax money has gone to help support the Chinese Communists.

Newspapers think nothing of printing full inserts of direct Chinese Communist Party propaganda.

Our politicians are sleeping with Chinese spies and taking huge bribes and payoffs from the Communists.
Our Educational institutions are fully infiltrated by Chinese Communists
Our "health services" are busy paying and helping for China to develop biological weapons, that are used against us.
Our corporations are doing their best to please the Chinese Communists so they can make more money.

If you were to go ahead and take care of business at home, you'd find there would be no reason to be interested in murdering a bunch of folks on some tiny island half a world away...

Fine.. a cursory glance shows $45M in aid at least. Likely more. And corruption?
Cut it off.. but then there wouldn't be %10 for the big guy.

You’re not wrong.
