"Use Those Tongs to Hold Him Down!"

Killed one by chopping off the head once. Went to skin it, and the body wrapped around my wrist. Weirdest feeling ever to have a headless rattlesnake coiled up and moving around my wrist.

I've heard those kinds of stories before. I live in the land of moss, snails and slugs. Nothing poisonous. I don't like snakes. At all.

My brother and I killed a rattle snake and we were like fuck it lets eat it we always heard it you guessed it...........taste like chicken. Anyway it was about 3 hours since we chopped its head off and got it back to the house to skin it and this thing seemed like it was still alive we even cut its heart out and it was still beating out of its body 3 hours after we supposedly killed it.

Reptiles operate on the tiniest amount of brain - a bare limbic system - fight, flee, eat, fuck.

Guessing most of the other necessary functions are hardwired into the nervous system and operate on feelings.

Much like democrats really.

My folks used to own a bus sized RV. A buddy of mine and I took them and their RV out to some really remote areas in S.E. Oregon. While down there, we killed a few rattle snakes, and as they had never eaten any, we put 3-4 of them we cut off the heads cleaned them and put them in a plastic bag, then put the bag in the refrigerator.

A while later, Mom went to get something out of the refer, and the bag of snakes fell out and onto the floor, they were still writhing around, and scared the living daylights out of Mom...she was not amused.

But they ate rattle snake back straps that were about the size of a pencil for dinner that night. We used egg, then battered them in corn meal and fried 3-4" long pieces on an iron skillet. They were quite tasty, and even Mom ate them.
