Gunsmithing Using soda blaster to take paint off of optic?

If it’s just paint use acetone to clean it off.
I’ve made a jig/holder for scopes that seals the lenses so no damage to them in the blaster.
Unless you tape off the power ring markings you’re gonna lose them.
I use worn out aluminum oxide media and turn the pressure down to 60-70lbs.
Final clean with denatured alcohol.
Shoot your Cerakote and bake at 175 degrees.
I haven’t done any cheap scopes so don’t know how well they would hold up to the heat.

Soda blasting is a great alternative to sand blasting and is much gentler.
I’ve never tried it on something intricate like a scope, and I’m not sure I would.
The soda gets everywhere and sticks to everything. Scopes have lots of nooks and crannies to get soda stuck in.
