Regarding the Remington 40-X RF rifles, and all else being the same, is there a difference in value of these 2 differently marked rifles??

Ultimately depends on the end buyer's opinion, but I do believe that USMC historically has gotten higher values. Rarity and more specific provenance.

The contract for the USMC rifles was only 3000 or so. All were 722 actions. The Army 722/40X and 700/40XB's were made in larger numbers. That is why the price difference. anything USMC marked also seem to be in greater demand. People will pay for the stamp.
