I purchased a USO from a Bluegrass Tactical (who I would give high marks to) along with an AI 0 degree cant unimount type base on top a Surgeon action. Much to my surprise I ran out of downward adjustment with the point of impact adjustment bottoming out 1 inch high at 100 yards. If this is operator error what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Negative. I called USO with the same problem. They say you need a 30 moa base or mount to adjust the EREK correctly. I ordered theirs, even though it costs an arm and a leg.

That doesn't sound right. But oh well. If you can't get sighted in at 100yds with a flat rail, there's something not straight somewhere.......

At the range, I went through the printed instructions verbatim on a 0 MOA mount. Had a very smart friend do the same thing with me. Could not get the EREK elevation adjusted with the zero stop set per their instructions.

The guy I bought the scope from had a 30 MOA base.

The mount Lazy originally recommended, and that I bought (after getting a 0 MOA base) was the USO 30 MOA mount. Thread

I called USO and talked to their tech. That's what he told me.

Just trying to save the OP some time and money from my experience.
