Rifle Scopes USO B-25 short on elevation for 50yd zero

I have a B-25 that only has 18mils of elevation in the turret. I started shooting some 22 stuff and found I can't go low enough to get a 50yd zero with a Sphur 4006 mounted on an Area419 30moa base. I need to hold under a full 2 mils. After a little research I found where the scope should have 22mils of elevation. The 4006 and 419 rail have the scope pretty tall at 2-3/8 center of bore to center of tube.

Will the tall scope height contribute to the zero issue?

Anyone have similar elevation issues with a B-25?

Not sure, but it sounds like your issue may be the 30moa rail not letting you dial low enough. May one 20moa will be a better for low end and also have some top end also. Never messed with the .22’s yet. Curious to see what others say.

I agree the 30moa base is contributing but with the base bottomed out it's a couple tenths high at 100yds. If I had another 4 mils in the scope as advertised I would be ok so maybe a scope issue...idk.

Sounds like you have it adjusted to far from the mechanical center, you will loose travel & need the proper amount of MOA base angle to keep it in the center of the travel. Re-zero up 5 mils & then check out the amount of adjustment you have. Will probably be more than the 22 mils.

I may not understand...
If I'm bottomed completely out on the turret and turn it to the top of travel it's only 18.3mils. regardless of where zero is at.
