68 years ago today, Germany surrenders.

Don't seem to hear much about it on the news. Shame there are few left who won that war for us, less and less everyday.

Let's not let them pass from our memory/

2 of my Grandfather's fought in the European Theater. One was on Juno Beach, and then fought through the hedgerows and beyond. The other was in Einskedie Holland, and was a Tank mechanic. He worked on the Sherman's, and hated the nazi 88's.
My 3rd Grandpa (yea, I got 3 branches in my family) he stayed home and grew crops and raised beef, to feed everyone. His health held him back so he worked twice as hard to 'be a part'.

They don't make'em like they used to......

I lost my last Grandpa just last year. My last Grandma passed, about 3 weeks ago at the age of 93. She had 9 kids.
